Please see our page 'Book an Appointment'. An initial assessment session is required prior to any therapeutic treatment. The initial assessment allows us to ensure that it is within our remit to work with you, and to ensure that you and the therapist are a good fit. It's a great chance to make sure you 'gel' well with the therapist and that you have some ideas about what you would like from counselling.
The initial assessment is free, and lasts for 20 minutes or less. You can drop us an email to book one in, please list the times and days when you are available and we'll confirm it with you by email. Due to the number of referrals we receive, you may be temporarily placed on a waiting list before we are able to work with you.
Follow-up and regular appointments will be arranged you and the counsellor and will take place either by Telephone or by Microsoft Teams.
All session fee information can be found here on our price list:
This price list is subject to changes, with a minimum 1 month notice supplied to existing clients about increases in fees.
At some stage, we hope to introduce Pay it Forward sessions for individuals who need counselling but cannot afford it. Please discuss with your counsellor if you are experiencing financial hardship.
We work in line with GDPR regulations to ensure that your private information is kept private, and would never misuse or share your data without your consent. We respect your privacy and would never share your private thoughts for unprofessional reasons. We may discuss information about the difficulties you're experiencing within Supervision, which is a professional resource to ensure that we work ethically with you and ensure great outcomes, but this information is shared anonymously and you would not be identifiable. However, there are instances where we are legally-bound to share information about you for your safety and the safety of others. In the UK, it is a legal requirement to report any knowledge of acts of terrorism, drug trafficking and money laundering. Additionally, we take safeguarding and duty of care seriously, especially in cases involving minors and vulnerable adults. In the case of a threat to life, we are duty-bound to ensure that appropriate support and help is sought out, and this may involve us discussing concerns with a medical professional or third party.
We ensure that we discuss our concerns with you prior to sharing your information, where it is possible for us to do so. We aim to be very clear about planned course of actions with you, so that you get the support you need and are an active part of the process of seeking help.
No, at this stage we do not. Specialist training is recommended when working with children and teenagers, and we have a commitment to working to a very high standard. Due to the fact that none of our counsellors are qualified to work with children and teens specifically, we believe that the safest thing is to direct children and teens to practitioners who specialise in working with them.
